Mullet Madness
Fort Myers Beach is getting ready to flip the script on summer fun with the launch of its inaugural Mullet Madness Weekend, happening August 1–3, 2025. Blending the quirky charm of a “Redneck Riviera” with breezy Coastal Cool energy, this three-day island-wide event promises mullet tossing, look-alike contests, wild photo ops, and big-time giveaways.
For just $20, participants receive a commemorative Mullet Madness tank top and a trail card to track their progress across participating venues. Completed trail cards earn raffle tickets, with major prizes awarded on Sunday at Moss Marina. Credential pickup begins Friday at 9:00 AM at Current Riders and Sun n Fun.
Friday, August 1
- 9:00 AM – Credential Pickup Opens
- Island-wide welcome specials and promotions
- 6:00–9:00 PM – Kickoff Party at Margaritaville
- Live music, drink specials, and dancing
Inaugural Event Highlights
- Mullet Toss Tournament at 9+ venues (3 throws per participant)
- Joe Dirt Look-Alike Contests – Adults Saturday, Kids Sunday
- Themed Selfie Stations (Business in the Front booths, Madness Mugshots)
- Pet & Owner Mullet Twinning Contest
- Live music, themed drinks, and décor island-wide

- $5 per child

- 10:00 AM–4:00 PM – Island-Wide Mullet Toss Crawl
- Multiple toss locations; 3 throws per person
- Scores recorded directly on trail card
- Adult Joe Dirt Look-Alike Contest
- Judging at Mr. Waves, Diva’s & Dolls, Lani Kai, and Tunaskin
- 4:00 PM – Finals & Awards at Cabana’s (yes, there will be mullet on the menu!)
SATURDAY & SUNDAY: Wicked Dolphin Rum and Nauti Pirate BBQ Boat!
